Day Bright
My name is Day Bright, and I am a senior animation and communications student who graduated from RPI. My main interests revolve around cartoons, sewing, photography, and cryptozoology- I also spend time studying lesser known animators and their newest works. My main works take the form of storyboards for potential animations as well as short animations for my original characters. My personal practice is a combined effort of maintaining smooth animation while also keeping a messier, sketchy style.

Hours, maybe days, pass before I hear the telltale footsteps approaching my cell. This time I am ready, and stand tall as the chain is attached. I keep pace with the man, not wanting to seem weak asI pass other prisoners in their own cells. This time I am more prepared for the lights, the crowds. I am shooed through the small door in the ring- the instant the chain is off I am on my guard.
Another prisoner is shoved through the opposing door, scared but determined. He seems like he’s been here a few times, like he has won before. I should be afraid, but only hunger fuels me. I can smell the meat on his breath even from several yards away- he has eaten. I have not.
He may have won before, but he is not as desperate as I am.
My body moves as soon as the whistle is blown, and I show no mercy as I tear into my opponent. Tears cloud my vision as his blood spills, but I blink them away.
I need to win.
